The regularly falling standard of education in India is no more a hot topic; parents too have now stopped their discussions. However, it is now that the Indian President has spoken and stressed on the need to curb the already falling standards to stoop all the more low.
While addressing the gathered people during the inaugural session of the 26th convocation and diamond jubilee celebrations at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, President Pranab Mukherjee said, “Multiple interventions are necessary. Attracting quality faculty and continuous faculty development is one. Adjunct faculty from the industry and research institutions if hired can provide practical orientation to course modules.”
Giving an insight, he suggested that this could be possible probably by a better promotion of “centre of excellence”, which will in turn help develop and nurture the very essence of an institute. To quote the President, “Through the establishment of research parks, cutting-edge research can be pursued and that will help develop a world class eco system in our institutions.”
Now that even the president has expressed his views on the kind of education we provide to our students, to our future generation, we hope there is some measure taken by the Education department to let our younger generation be more confident of what India offers to them
