Somebody said this, this somebody must have found a reason behind it. One possible reason, of date, is the 9-year-old Anirudh Kathirvel. This young boy of Indian origin, born in Melbourne to Tamilian parents, has made his mark in Australian Spelling Bee Contest by totally sweeping it, winning $50,000 education scholarship plus an additional $10,000 dollars’ worth of goods for his school.
The champ confesses that he had not expected this victory and that he had to be pinched to believe that he had actually won the competition.
"I needed to rub my eyes and see if this is a dream." Adding further he said, "Nope. Nope. Nope. Real. I can't describe it. It's like the best day of my life."
Full of excitement, he says that his experience at the competition was thrilling, with the word ‘euouae’ being the word that he liked spelling the most.
The kid nailed it at the spelling bee contest and gave the credit of his victory to his reading habit, saying, "I started reading from the age of two and slowly my reading passion evolved into my love for words. My parents encouraged and helped me to build up on my spelling."
"My first spelling competition was when I was in grade 1. But my first year in the spelling competition was challenging. Gradually my confidence increased and I was pushing my spelling abilities to its limits. That's how my spelling journey has begun," he added.
When the state celebrated Women Empowerment day, several women were appreciated. This young student was one among them.
