In yet another attempt to inculcate Sanskars or good values in children, Sanskar School, Jaipur known to stand by the meaning of its name, organized ‘Healthy Lifestyle Show’ today in their school premises.

The aim of the show was teaching the young kids about healthy lifestyle and covered all topics like food, exercise, yoga, maintaining time-table, etc. The central idea of the entire event was to educate them about how choices affect people’s lives and their well being.

The event began with children coming forward to convey message of healthy living, each inspiring the audience; they also asked the audience to not just listen to their messages, but also to follow them as none of their messages would hold a worth if not followed.

We have now come to believe that the students not only simply perform, but they also try and learn things out of their participation. This was yet again exemplified by the students of Sanskar School as some of them performed Yoga asanas.

As if that was not enough, entered another group of students who performed a well-synchronized drill. The students with their costumes, Green and Yellow t-shirts, hand-made silver pom-pom in gave the exercise a very cheerful and exciting look.

After the physical exercises, the students took the audience into the world of aesthetic exercise with their play which was focused on healthy eating. The play began with a kid refusing his mother to eat healthy food, and so his mother takes him to the king of fruits and vegetable world, who then makes the kid meet all the vegetables and fruits. Students dressed up as various fruits and vegetables talked about their benefits. The cute lil’ kids, decked up like vegetables, looked adorable in their dresses.

Next were a group of exuberant students on stage presenting their aerobics skills. They surely were kids, but their energy marred any trained aerobic performer. Watching these kids performing was a sight, what added more to it were their pretty red costumes.

And then there was a mime displayed. Wondering what Mime and healthy living have to do together? So did we! Well, the students performed a Mime act, highlighting the basic cleanliness activities like brushing, bathing, cutting nails, etc.

All in all, it was good to see kids talking about healthy lifestyle habits that most of us have forgotten to follow. The entire event was an inspiration to the audience, more so for those grown-ups who cite busy lifestyles to ignore healthy lifestyles.

The entire school turned into a mini zoo with sounds of barking, chirping, meowing as the young ones brought different breeds of dogs, cats, parrots, parakeets, birds, fish, etc, to the campus.
