Annual functions, cultural events, sports day and now Tae-Kwon-Do competition … I am totally in love with what ScooTalks offers me. This time the ever-so-dynamic team of ScooTalks reached St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar as the 6th Ranbir Singh memorial Tae-Kwon-Do competition, one of the most awaited events of the school, started. The competition is organized every year as a homage to Late Sh. Ranbir Singh Ji, the founder of St. Edmund’s School.
Hosting the competition at a grand scale each year, the school was host to as many as 400 students from 25 different schools of Jaipur. The event began with lamp lightening by the school director Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh, Dir. (Academics) Mrs. Meena Singh and Deputy Dir. Mr. Kapil Singh.Principal Ma’am, Pooja Singh then addressed the participants and declared the event open. And then some of the senior students proudly marched past the entire audience.
The event ended with St. Edmund’s winning the highest number of medals. Second position was captured by Ryan International School and the third position went to Vidhya Ashram School (Pratap Nagar).
Amid a lot of applauds, the chief guest for the evening, Pink Panther Kabbadi Team captain and Arjun award winner Mr. Navneet Gautam felicitated the winners with the medals, certificates and t-shirts. He further went on to congratulate the school management for the successful completion of the tournament.
The event ended on highly positive note with the Madam Principal thanking the Chief Guest for his eminent presence and the principals and coaches of participating schools for their cooperation in organizing such a successful event. She then went on to congratulate the participants, winners or not, saying that what matters most is sportsmanship.
